Use Thanksgiving trivia as a short conversation game rather than a test of who knows the most obscure fact. This printable mixes calendar questions, turkey vocabulary and a gratitude prompt. The answer page lets a host lead the activity without giving every player the solutions at the start. Eight questions are enough for a quick round while dinner is being set up.

How to use this printable

  1. Read the answer key before the event. Decide whether players will answer alone, in pairs or as mixed-age teams.
  2. Give teams a question sheet and a pencil. Read each question aloud so younger players and anyone who prefers listening can take part.
  3. Allow one point for each agreed answer. Accept equivalent wording, especially on the open gratitude question, and avoid penalizing spelling.
  4. Check answers together and invite one extra comment after the final question. Keep the game brief enough that it adds to the gathering instead of interrupting it.

Make the activity your own

For a larger group, ask teams to write their answers before anyone speaks. For a family with small children, offer two possible answers aloud and let children choose. A tie can be settled by having each team name something kind they could do for another guest; there is no need for an elimination round. U.S. Thanksgiving falls on November 26 in 2026, following the fourth-Thursday rule.
