US Letter, 8.5 x 11 inches. Print at 100% for craft pieces; use Fit to page if your printer clips the margins. An adult should help with scissors and fitting wearable crafts.
Turkey feet are small details that help a paper bird look complete. Use this printable feet template for a cut-and-paste turkey, a standing craft or a classroom display. The simple shapes leave room for children to color, trace and compare pairs without making cutting unnecessarily difficult. These are stylized craft feet rather than an anatomical reference or a life-size pattern.
How to use this printable
- Count how many turkeys you are making and plan two feet for each one. Choose a color that stands out from the paper body.
- Color the feet before cutting. For a sturdier pair, glue the sheet to light cardstock and let it dry flat.
- Cut around the outside shape, with an adult helping at the narrow spaces between toes. Leave a little extra paper if a child is still developing scissor control.
- Place both feet under the body before gluing. Tilt them inward or outward to change the turkey posture, then attach only when the pair looks balanced.
Make the activity your own
Turn the pieces into a simple matching activity by making several pairs in different colors. Ask children to find a pair and explain what makes the two pieces belong together. For a group display, write a child’s initials on the back of each pair before passing out glue. If a paper turkey needs to stand, add a separate folded support rather than asking the thin feet to carry its weight.
Printing and questions
Print the PDF on US Letter paper in portrait orientation. Start with one copy and check the preview before making a classroom set. Use ordinary paper for a worksheet, or cardstock when the finished piece needs to stand up to handling.
Can I enlarge the feet?
Yes. Adjust printer scaling, then print one test pair beside the body you plan to use.
Can the feet be used as real shoe covers?
They are intended as paper craft pieces. For a wearable costume, use a pattern specifically designed for the shoe and supervise movement.
